Stephen Page

Stephen Page’s sculptures have been exhibited extensively across the UK, including at London’s Mall Galleries with the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Royal Society of British Artists. His work has also featured in the selected exhibition of the Welsh National Eisteddfod at Pontypridd, as well as in numerous private galleries and art fairs both in the UK and internationally. His sculptures are held in private collections across the UK, Europe, the United States, and Asia. In 2025, he was elected as a full member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.

Working primarily in bronze, Stephen’s sculptures are a tribute to the animal kingdom. His practice centres on distilling the essence of each subject, reducing form to its most elemental shapes and lines while maintaining a strong sense of presence and character. Drawing inspiration from direct observation of animals, as well as historical artefacts and ancient imagery, his work reflects humanity’s enduring and evolving relationship with animals across cultures and throughout history.

Each sculpture begins with a series of drawings and small-scale models. These are gradually refined into simplified forms before being cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax process. Produced in small editions and individually hand-finished, each piece is patinated to create subtle variations in tone and surface, ensuring every sculpture has its own unique character.

Stephen is a fine art graduate, originally from Dorset. He now lives in Mid Wales, where he is a fluent Welsh speaker.
